Cross Country Mountain Biking us fun and for everybody to enjoy
The 2012 KZN Cross-country scene is set to start out with a bang with the 3 event Momentum Health XCO Internationals. These events
are intended to bring the fun and excitement back into Cross Country (XCO) Mountain Biking and to makeit accessible to all skill levels.
The series creates the perfect platform for out elite riders to fine tune their skills and gain some valuable UCI Points in the
lead up to the MTB World Cup in Pietermaritzburg at the Cascades MTB Park, on the weekend of the 16th to 18th of March this year.
With master trackbuilder Nick Floros in charge of the routes and the Max Cluer Sports Marketing Team working in conjunction with KZN
Mountain Biking you can expect no compromise in bringing you 3 World Class XCO Events in KZN. These events will cater for everybody from
the athlete to the families, friends. Spectators are encouraged to come and watch and enjoy the day and cheer on thechampions of the future as
they blitz around the track.

Events:
Event #1 Giba Gorge MTB Park 18th and 19th February
Event #2 Karkloof Falls 3rd and 4th March
Event #3 Cascades MTB Park 10th and 11th March
Saturday Events:
The races happening on Saturday are for Juniors, U23 and Elite men and women. These are the athletes who need to earn UCI points as well as valuable experience racing against international and riders from other provinces.
These are super exciting to watch and will get all the youngsters and senior riders excited for their big day of racing on the Sunday for sure.
Sunday Events:
These races are for all other age categories and form part of the KZNMTB Provincial Championship series. These athletes will all be racing on the same courses as the Saturday events and everyone is encouraged to come and see
what it is like to race on world class courses.(It’s easier than it looks and fast tracks your skills BIGTIME ;) So bring your families, picnic baskets and bicycles and get stuck in and come and support and enjoy a great day of racing with us.
