Dirt Exclusive: Cube Two 15 DH bike
Look what Dan White from Cube has just gone and done. He’s only just bloody brought us the first Two 15 DH bike in the country!
I’ll keep it short because I have to go and do some shots with the German bike, as there is obviously quite a demand on this one. In simple (possibly not) terms it’s a four bar linked bike with ‘Triple Linkage Kinematics’, and having had a quick gas around some banks locally I find the whole bike incredibly supportive. The spring at 275lb is pretty light for my weight compared to the majority of bikes I ride, yet designer and one of the main guys at Cube Micahel Prell has set it up exactly for me to ride. That in itself is a huge plus from a bike company.
Weighing in at 39.5lb (without pedals) it’s not the lightest and you can be sure it to be solid and reliable if you compare to other bikes from this company. At around the £4000 mark it will have strong competition but what we are most eager to find out is how that rear linkage performs, as my gut feeling is positive.
Available in one size the Two 15 sits very much as a medium, in terms of componentry it’s a bike that’s ready for action immediately. Will bring you an update and it will be featured in Dirt 120.
