Paw,
Though I would share my reasons for calling a bike, a female.
Firstly - I don't ride guys, full stop!
A Bike must -
Look sexy
Be soft and plush in the right places
Be ready to be ridden at any time; as hard as I want, in any place and no matter what the weather.
Not make a sound
A perfect Lady !

Paw,
Hi Mawbs,
Do you know if there is a night ride happening tonight?
If so, who can I contact for some details?
Cheers

Im not fit yett, but atleast i think I've kicked the flu.
I was thesre last sunday and the course is great. The racing line is above my fire place in a few sections I think I take about 4 chickenruns on the way down.

Whoot..... It's Downhill weekend again.
The fourth and final round of the Mongoose Western Cape Downhill series is taking place at the "Taal Monument" on Paarl mountail (more like a hill - but anny way) Thats does not say that the course is not awsomw, A bit short but it will deliver loads of entertaining racing for spectators.
It also bosts the quickest shuttle route back to the start (1.5km of tared road - Great news for teh riders)
Practice on Saturday 9am - 4pm
Practice Sunday 8am - 9am
Race Sunday - 9am - 2pm
Anyway - Im gonna be there.....

thanks guys. Was a bit disheartening riding all the way up there from basically town, and after all that ascent to see the sign down at the guard hut!
Richard - I am keen to explore the area some more as there are potentially some nice tracks. We found a road that basically took us from the main road at the top, down and alongside muswell hill, then around and on top of the ridge between chase-valley and oak park. All the way along there were roads going off to the right - so it would be nice to gps them. We hit the downhill track, went down a bit of it, and then headed right to oak park. If we had gone straight we would have hit cascades.
People obviously ride there cos we saw a lone beaver on a bike ripping down some track from near the top!!
so after hill2hill I will lead an exploration session

We opting for the Gateway Gauntlet - well Werner is anyway. I will be spectating -keen to see how it turns out.Sounds like its gonna be fun.Enrty is hell expensive but if you take into considertaion you may be coming home with a new bike its not that bad -and the odds are pretty good as the field is limited

you can buy a similar set but without a cycle associated manufacturers name for at least 30% less at any general tool shop. I got a set from a specialised tool shop up in jhb for R200 and it works brilliantly.
